About Dreamary

What Dreamary is

Dreamary is a free dream-meaning dictionary available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, and German. It offers a growing collection of common dream topics, and each one is explained scenario by scenario — because dreaming of a calm sea is not the same as dreaming of a storm at sea. Every entry brings together a psychological reading and the cultural or traditional interpretations that surround the symbol. The current collection is always listed on the home page.

Why we made it

When you wake up from a vivid dream and search for what it means, you often land on pages that give a single one-line answer, or that only reflect one tradition. We wanted something calmer and more honest: a reference that lays out the different situations a dream can appear in, explains what psychology tends to say about it, and describes how different cultures have read the same symbol — and then leaves the conclusion to you.

Who runs the site

Dreamary is built and maintained by Taegye Lab, a one-person web studio. Being small keeps the site simple: no accounts, no sign-up walls, no clutter. Taegye Lab is responsible for the published text, corrections, and site operation; readers can report wording or interpretation issues through the contact page.

Our approach to accuracy

Dream interpretation is not an exact science, and we do not pretend otherwise. Entries draw on widely discussed psychological ideas and on folk and cultural traditions, and where readings disagree we say so rather than picking a winner. If you spot something inaccurate or poorly worded, we genuinely welcome corrections by email — the site improves through them.
